Kai Bosch embraces online love in statement single ‘Everything is Beautiful’.

Kai Bosch was heartbroken. Now he’s in love. The result? A bop.

Last time we heard from the songwriter, he was struggling through the end of his first relationship in April’s Love, Throw Me A Bone EP. That brooding five-track project turned heads with the down-and-out imagery of ‘Bodybag’, masochism of ‘Funny’ and desperation of ‘Tulips’.

A release that resonated with a budding fanbase and came alive at a string of UK headline shows, Throw Me A Bone received critical acclaim. Hopefully, fans of that project aren’t sitting too comfortably, as Bosch is ready for reinvention.

Since the EP’s release, the singer shrugged off his heartbreak and fired his thumb into action on dating app Hinge. That proved a fruitful choice with the rising star’s next love materialising in his life through the phone screen.

It’s that tale of online love that comes fizzing into life on ‘Everything Is Beautiful’. “This is my first ever happy song,” Bosch admits. “It’s about falling for my now-boyfriend over Hinge and even though we hadn’t been on a date yet, I just felt that ‘when you know you know’ feeling and it was unlike anything I’d experienced before."

It’s the artist’s reckless desire to find love again that makes the single such a full-throttle release. The song bursts into life with revved-up hyperpop production as Bosch revels in the chase of dating apps - “blue lights on the phone, wanna have you for my own, everything is beautiful,” he opens.

There’s little respite as the track rattles on. Bosch luxuriates in the idea of taking a plunge in his new match’s blue eyes. “Time has been a healer, I’ve been to hell and back to meet ya,” he delivers with excitement, a nod to the heartbreak of Throw Me A Bone.

Where the world’s appetite for high-tempo pop songs seems to be making singles creep under the two-minute mark, the singer fights against that trend to make ‘Everything Is Beautiful’ a longer statement release - with such a moreish single, that's surely an easy choice.

Just as the track appears to be dying out with its production fading in the background, Bosch dives back into the party for a brilliant final flurry. “Everything is beautiful and I’m in love with my brain,” he chants.
