Truck Festival 2024: The festival that never lets you down.

Returning to Truck Festival for the second time, expectations were sky-high. Featuring incredible performances, great vibes, and stunning weather, Truck Festival 2024 was truly unforgettable. Here are some of the standout sets and memorable moments from the weekend.

SOFY Proving she deserved that main stage spot.

As rising star SOFY took the Truck Stage under the sunny skies, the energy was electric—not just for her, but for the entire crowd. With each song, the audience grew larger and more engaged, bopping along enthusiastically as the front row belted out every lyric. In a memorable moment, a fan proudly waved a Leicester City FC flag, much to SOFY’s delight—a fitting tribute, (if you have checked out Ranked you know we firmly believe SOFY is putting Leicester on the map). But that wasn’t the only standout crowd interaction: a dedicated fan hoisted SOFY merch into the air, and when it appeared on the big screen, the fan’s excitement was palpable. It was an unforgettable set filled with pure, immaculate vibes.

Declan McKenna doing what he does best.

I have to admit, my first time seeing Declan earlier this year at Radio 1’s Big Weekend left me underwhelmed—the crowd just didn’t give him the energy he deserved. But Truck Festival more than made up for it, delivering a set I’ll remember for a lifetime. With electric performances of "Nothing Works" and "British Bombs," Declan easily became one of the weekend’s standout acts. The final chorus of "British Bombs" was a highlight, with Declan pausing to reflect on the song’s significance before launching into a series of fly kicks as the crowd moshed with full force. It was nothing short of spectacular, and the set met all my expectations.

Holly Humberstone owned the main stage while the sun was beaming.

From anthems like ‘Scarlett’ to the introspective depths of newer tracks like ‘Dive’, Holly delivered a set that had everyone in their feelings and losing their voices. The crowd had already swelled in size before she even stepped on stage, eagerly awaiting the Era’s tour opener to perform songs that have struck a chord with fans worldwide. Despite encountering a few technical glitches, Holly commanded the stage and delivered one of the standout performances of the weekend, perfectly setting the stage for Declan’s set that followed on the main stage.

Sea Girls, Nieve Ella, Fred Roberts, and Royston Club were among the weekend’s standout performers, each delivering sets that truly impressed. Overall, Truck Festival once again proved to be one of the summer’s top events, boasting a stellar lineup that exceeded expectations. Truck remains the festival that consistently delivers.
