Fairhazel captures the essence of love in new track 'Corner Park'.
Nashville-based British Indie-Folk artist Fairhazel returns with new single 'Corner Park,' released on Wednesday, October 2nd.
Fairhazel is the moniker of 26-year-old British-born singer-songwriter Hugh Macdonald. Raised in the UK, South Africa, and France, Fairhazel blends diverse musical influences into a unique indie-folk sound. Known for his storytelling that blurs the lines between fiction and reality, Fairhazel has drawn inspiration from and garnered comparisons to early Harry Nilsson, Ben Howard, and Sufjan Stevens. He has received international acclaim for tracks like ‘7x7,’ ‘The Director's Daughter,’ and ‘I Wanna Die with My Blue Jeans On.’
Since the release of his debut EP, Bath With A Friend, Fairhazel has gained significant editorial support, earning spots on coveted playlists like Spotify's Most Beautiful Songs in the World, Lost in the Woods, Fresh Finds Folk, All New Indie, and Hot New Bands. Performing at iconic venues such as the Troubadour, Hotel Café, and Rockwood Music Hall, he’s made a name for himself in the indie-folk scene. Fairhazel has toured across the US, UK, and Canada, supporting acts like Flyte, Harrison Storm, Gone Gone Beyond, Blanco White, The Longest Johns, and Dizzy.
Fairhazel’s next single is the final piece of his forthcoming album. Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, he explains,
“There’s a unique feeling when you realize you’re falling in love, like you’re the main character in a film—certain that no one else has ever felt it as deeply as you do. I’ve been with my partner for nearly ten years, since we were teens, and I still experience that same rush to this day. Nothing compares to it. This song captures those emotions and encapsulates those moments."
