MARiMARi returns with new Hyperpop banger ‘HOT TOPiC’.

MARiMARi creates hyperpop for the eyeliner-wearing emo kids with a sweet tooth for pop. Growing up Japanese-British, influenced by the sounds of Kesha, J-pop, and Charli XCX, MARiMARi’s music blends bold vulnerability with reflections on adolescence and self-expression.

‘HOT TOPiC’ kicks off the first single from MARiMARi's ‘2000s Cyber Girl’ EP, showcasing her signature blend of Western hyperpop and J-pop—a reflection of her Japanese-British heritage. With its playful, feminine energy, the track delivers bouncy hi-hats and nostalgic synths, perfectly capturing the excitement and thrill of the 'honeymoon' phase through both sound and lyrics.

MARiMARi’s knack for blending bold, infectious melodies with personal reflections shines here, offering listeners a taste of what's to come from her uniquely crafted sound. As the first glimpse into her EP, ‘HOT TOPiC’ sets the stage for a project that promises to be a vibrant exploration of identity, self-expression, and youthful exuberance.

Following up the Brat Summer craze, MARiMARi offers a new fresh flavour of hyperpop. She recently performed live at The Strongroom in Shoreditch, bringing her community together and proving she’s truly an artist to keep an eye on.
